Looking back to my early days writing kids books, if you asked me what single thing turned around my entire life, I could tell you without hesitation it was one of my author gifts. When I received my copy of the DVD The Secret in 2006, everything changed for me. I was instantly affected in a way that had me awake at night too excited to fall asleep. I remember that first time I watched this movie that I knew it was going to change me for the positive forever. Since that date, I have watched my copy of The Secret at least five times a week for the past 10 years.

Each day I listen to it while it is playing on the small color television on my desk, and today I think I can recite the entire movie from beginning to end. Each day I wake up so grateful for everything I have, and that includes this movie that I use like coffee to energize me each day.

Rather than watch the news and get my head filled with negative stories about crime, death, murders, and all other issues affecting the world, I choose to only allow positive thoughts in my head. The end result is only positive things come out, and I can generate a new kids book each week without any issues.
